Inspired by the range of textures and colour made possible by painting with oils, I am drawn principally to explore the layers beneath the surface of my subject. I am interested in the psychology of individuals and the way we communicate; my perception of the essence of a person, place or object.

In 2016 a life-threatening event gave me a life-changing opportunity, and I decided to leave a successful career in the City to paint full time.

I am a graduate of the internationally acclaimed Norfolk Painting School Diploma, studying under award-winning artist Martin Kinnear.

Painting gives me a language to help make sense of myself, others and the world around me.
